DSLR vs a Video Camera?
You're attempting to kill 2 birds with the one stone. Don't. If its primarily for videos I'd suggest going with the Panasonic. I've never used either of my Canons for video because I have a Sony HD video camera and I'm certain my DSLRs could not even come close to matching the IQ. Besides that it is so easy to use, press one button and you're away. The Sony can also take 10Meg stills but they don't compare to the images from the DSLRs. There are a lot of DSLR users who wished they didn't have to pay for video capabilities they never use, and I'm one of them.
