Why does my canon eos rebel pictures turn out bright?

If it's too bright on fully automatic mode, you might have a worn out shutter. The shutters are rated for around 100,000-150,000 actuations and eventually wear out. They wear out slowly by staying open too long and letting in too much light. If you think this might be the problem, you can contact your manufacturer and see how much a shutter replacement would cost.
